Halloween Night at The Ferry ,Sunday 31st October

Yes, its that time of year again when the Alveston Ghosts and Ghoulies come out to play! Meet at the Ferry at 5.30pm and there is a safe, accompanied “Trick or Treat ” walk for the children.

At 6pm there will be prizes for the best carved and/or decorated pumpkin and for the best fancy dress. Both competitons are open to adults and children.  Visit www.extremepumpkins.com or www.bumpkinpumpkins.co.uk for top tips on how to win!

As always there will be hotdogs, refreshments and treats for the children.

Pleaser let Claire Grimes, Sue Hartwell or Merylyn Sparey know if you are willing to give the “Trick or Treaters ” a suitably scary welcome or can volunteer for any other help on the night.

Village Design Statement

The updated Village Design Statement was accepted by Stratford District Council at the meeting of the Southern Area Committee held on 25th March. Many thanks to Roger Read for all his work on this project.

Quiz Night at The Ferry, Monday 20th September, 8pm

Congratulations to Alveston Akers whose Quiz perseverance over many months finally resulted in a win by just one point on the August 23rd. And they also ended up champions of the half time brain teaser – winning a bottle of Prosecco in the process. It was indeed emotional.

If you fancy your chances vs the Akers, come along to the  next Ferry Quiz and give your mind and memory a workout with 6 rounds of quiz questions to truly test the limits of your brainpower.  Make up a team with friends or come on the night and hook up with other likeminded souls !

See you there.
