The Malt House

The Malt House is the village hall of Alveston and the main hall is large enough to seat 80 people comfortably for a meal, or up to 100 for a more informal gathering.  There is also a gallery which is ideal for a meeting or a group of up to 20 people.

Kitchen

There is a well equipped, small kitchen with crockery and cutlery for 100 people, refrigerator and electric cooker.  Please bring your own teatowels, dishcloths and refuse sacks – please take your rubbish home!

Music

The hall has an entertainment license and a PA System which can also be hired for a small fee.

Alcohol

Individuals wishing to sell alcohol at a function are responsible for making their own license application for the event and forwarding a copy to the Bookings Secretary.

Noise

Please respect local residents by arriving at and leaving the hall quietly.
The hall and gallery must be cleared and closed by midnight.  On no account is any activity to go on in the Malt House after this time.

Hire Charges

Main Hall – £10.00 per hour (minimum charge £20.00)

Gallery – £7.00 per hour (minimum charge £14.00)

Whole Premises – £100.00 per day
